For some, Rosé may mark the start of sunnier months, but we see no good reason why you can’t dip your toe in the pink pool all year round.

In this rosé Masterclass our WSET accredited gurus will guide you through the different styles and methods of production of rosé wines so you can enjoy all things pink.

Domaine Allimant-Laugner Crémant d'Alsace Rosé, NV, Alsace, France

The Provence rosé of sparkling. Delicate, darling and downright delicious. Made in the same way as Champagne from 100% Pinot Noir, this is so delicate in colour it’s almost white.  Clean, elegant, chilled and youthful this sparkling rosé has it all. The Nicolas Laugner winery produces wines that are all vegan, fermented in stainless steel using only natural yeast and cultivated in a sustainable manner.

Domaine la Colombette Rosé, 2020, Languedoc, France

Get ready to be pinning for Summer already, this rosé oozes it, whatever the season. It glints salmon in the glass and is redolent of strawberries, raspberries, redcurrants, passionfruits, watermelons and mangos, topped with a little fresh cream and a twist of pink grapefruit juice. Grab your sunnies, we’re off to the beach.

La Liquière, Les Amandiers Rosé, 2020, Faugères, Languedoc, France

As much as these vines struggle in the face of the scorching Tramontane and Marin winds in the Languedoc, Les Amandiers vines are planted along the natural contours of the highest slopes on François’ property in Faugères. Battling a temperature that is the equivalent to a hairdryer at full blast, the altitude helps the 40-year-old vines retain their thirst-quenching acidity. Shaded by almond trees, a hodgepodge of Cinsault, Mourvèdre, and Grenache vines ripen and are painstakingly hand-harvested by François’ small and mighty team in the morning to avoid the scorching sun. The end result? A rosé with cherries, strawberries and raspberries with a kiss of fudge at the finish line.
