The Loire is probably the most eclectic wine region in all of France, and we love Loire for the fact that all styles of wine are produced.

In our monthly masterclass our wine gurus will be diving into a number of the area’s most hidden gems and celebrating the amazing wines the area has to offer.

What to expect:

Domaine du Landreau Crémant de Loire: What do we love about this wine? In short, everything. 1. It's more refreshing than a cold shower. 2. The fizz is long lasting but not too aggressive, so you can either linger over it or knock it back in sweet celebration. 3. As much effort has gone into this as goes into a vintage Champagne, but it won't cost you as much.

Ménard-Gaborit Classique, Muscadet Sèvre et Maine: Tingly & pure. “Sur lie”, smell seashells, taste the seashore. Tangy and dry with the wonderful minerality that Muscadet is famous for, this is wine by the rolling ocean, even if you’re nowhere near the ocean

Touraine Sauvignon Blanc: Bright, crisp and fresh, this delicious wine promises flavours of green apples and gooseberries, fresh grassy aromas and lemony notes with licks of zesty lime.

Domaine Raymond Morin La Jalousie: Initially this one is all robust and syrupy with honey, shortcake, peach and melon, and then it does a complete one eighty in a bone dry whirlwind of savoury herbs, spices and funkiness.

Domaine du Landreau Rose de Loire: Made with the Cabernet Franc grape. A dry, crisp style of Sparkling. Floral, citrus, red berry fruit with a slight toastiness on the finish.

Domaine Raymond Morin Saumur-Champigny: Virtually unpronounceable, completely unforgettable. A serious, sophisticated and very adult wine, with balanced tannins and savoury notes.

Domaine Pichard & Jourdan Chinon “L’Arcestrale”: A Humble favourite. Cabernet Franc is the father of Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Sauvignon is the world's most planted grape variety. That makes Cabernet Franc quite literally the daddy of red wine.
